    Event transport for 750 VIPs

    Each year the UK team convenes over 750 VIP guests, including investors, analysts, and CEOs from around the world.  For the last five years this event has been held at a prestigious, luxury hotel in the Surrey countryside.

    Driven Worldwide has been delivering VIP chauffeur services for this event since 2010.  The most recent involved, 600 bespoke transfers, not including station or airport transfers, 160 professional chauffeurs and six members of the Driven Worldwide team on site.

    Rising to the challenge

    Coordinating VIP travel for more 750 people, over five days as they move between different hotels, stations, and airports requires serious planning.  During the event VIPs will shuttle to and from important meetings and networking or hospitality events and  they can’t afford to be left waiting.

    Removing the burden from the bank’s events team

    Pre-event Driven Worldwide will make site visits to check access.  In the two days preceding the event the technical team goes on site to set up the control centre.   This is the heart of the transport operation from which the team takes an active role dealing directly with passengers, managing constant changes and additional needs, and updating the bank’s event managers.   The project typically involves coordinating over 150 professional chauffeurs and business class vehicles to shuttle VIPs between the event venue, their hotels, local stations, and airports.

    Contingency planning

    Previous years have seen the team coping with snow and closures of the main route to Heathrow. Driven Worldwide’s pro-active contingency plans and communication with the client’s events team meant all VIPs still arrived where they needed to be, on time and none the wiser.
